What we collect

Account details, protected password records, contact and communication preferences, listing descriptions, addresses, photos, dimensions, access details, requests, messages, reviews, support enquiries and safety reports. Technical records can include IP addresses, browser information, request times, security events and the searches you make. We receive information from you, the other party to a request and providers used to operate the service.

Why we use it

We use information to provide the service you request, maintain your account, publish appropriate listing details, manage requests and conversations, deliver service emails, handle support and keep the marketplace secure. We rely on performing our contract, meeting legal obligations and legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service. Where consent is required, including optional marketing, we ask for it and you can withdraw it.

What other people can see

Public listing descriptions, approved photos, approximate areas and reviews can be visible to visitors. Hosts and renters can see the information needed for their requests and conversations. Exact addresses and access instructions are kept out of public listings. Avoid including private documents or sensitive information in public content.

Service providers

Hetzner hosts the service. Resend processes email delivery. Postcodes.io may receive a postcode for location lookup. Mapbox provides the interactive maps, address search and walking directions. When you use map features, Mapbox receives map requests and technical information such as your IP address; search features can send the destination you enter. We do not sell personal data. Authorised staff, advisers and authorities may receive information where necessary for support, security or legal obligations.

Payments and native apps

Online payments and native StoreWelly apps are not active at this launch stage. Do not send card details in messages. We will update this policy and present relevant choices before introducing new payment, device or notification providers.

Cookies and location

The website uses essential session and security storage. Blocking this can prevent sign in and account functions. Device location is optional where a nearby search requests it. You can enter a destination instead and change permission in your browser. Listing photos are uploaded only when you choose them.

Security and international processing

We use encrypted connections, protected password records and access controls. Our main application is hosted in the EU. Some providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Provider privacy information explains their processing and transfer arrangements. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while needed for the service, unresolved requests, support, security or legal obligations. You can request deletion through account deletion or contact us. Some records may need to be retained after account closure; we will explain any applicable reason. Recovery backups may retain historical copies until their retention period ends.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object, as applicable. You can object to direct marketing and withdraw consent. We may need proportionate proof of identity, but will never ask for your password. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
